I am looking for a boutique hote; in the Marais or st Germain area in Paris - charming comfortable 3 - 4 star. Need 2 rooms so price in $200 - possible low $3.

What time of year? Rates vary greatly depending on the month. Is that $200 to low $300s US dollar per night per room or per night?

Expect a boutique hotel in those areas to cost 250€ to 300€ per night for two people. Prices do vary by season making specific recommendations within a given budget window an inexact science. However, I might suggest:

Not in the Marais or St. Germain (areas I also love :-) but just on the right bank, close to Tour Saint Jacques. I stayed here once -- charming 3 star boutique hotel and the location is very central. Sorry, I didn't take time to check prices today.

I would check with Booking.com to get an idea of what is out there. You don't have to book with them to get a fairly accurate idea of prices. The time of year will affect prices, but for those two areas you would probably pay more per room, per night. Did you mean $200-$300 per night for two rooms? If so, that is pretty much an impossibility for someplace decent, unless in the least busy days of the year.
