We are planning a trip in France at the end of April. This site has been great. Some questions - Should we finish in Lyon or Nice? We plan to fly directly into Bordeaux for Tampa with two stops. We will fly home from Nice or Lyon back to Tampa. if our trip is 10-12 days, what is the best for our time? Skip Lyon and travel to Nice or vice versa. Additionally, should we consider flying in and out of Paris with a train to Bordeaux and rent a car to take us to our last destination (Lyon or Nice), then a train back to Paris. Your suggestions are appreciated.
Since you mention the Loire Valley in the title, it doesn't make sense to fly to Bordeaux, then drive north to the Loire Valley and then drive back south to Carcassonne
It would make more sense to fly to Paris, take a train to the Loire Valley and then rent a car for Bordeaux and continue your journey to Carcassonne, Nice or Lyon.
