Bordeaux to Spain

Hi. Husband and I will be staying in Bordeaux France in May of this year. We are looking at a next stop in Spain. I like Valladolid as a stop, but that is not set in stone. Anyone have experiences with a train from Bordeaux into Spain that is fairly direct that you would recommend?

You can take a train from Bordeaux to Hendaye. There is a Euskotren stop right there, which will take you to San Sebastian in 30mins.

Bordeaux to Valladolid is quite the trek; a stopover in the Basque country (San Sebastian is a good candidate) is a good idea!
