Absolutely! If, like me you like oysters the best I have ever had including Paris, Nice and New Orleans were in Bordeaux at Chez Mi. You can look them up online for exact location/directions. It's in a covered market with individual stalls. Not fancy, not expensive. But absolutely fabulous oysters. I think they open fairly early in the morning and are only open through lunchtime. Exact hours should also be on their website. I would go to Bordeaux for these oysters alone. Bordeaux also has the best public transportation (tram) of any city I've ever been in. Great for getting to/from the airport. Or just around town. Are you planning to go to Sarlat during your visit? I couldn't recommend Sarlat highly enough. Beynac and la Roque Gagiac and the surrounding area are well worth spending some time in as well. Have a great trip!

Le Tout du Cru in the Chartrons area also is known for its oysters. It's quite good.
