Bordeaux lodgings

Any suggestions as to where to stay in Bordeaux for a few nights? Mid-October is when we will be there. Thank you

We stayed at the Quality Hotel Bordeaux Centre a couple of years ago.

Clean hotel with large rooms, we were walking distance to absolutely everything. We recommended it to our NZ based daughter and her partner, they stayed there too and also loved it.

There was no restaurant, but there are hundreds within walking distance. There was a bar and a good breakfast though.

I was in Bordeaux in 2021 on a Road Scholar tour and went a few days ahead. I stayed in the tour hotel, the Best Western Etche Ona. I thought the location was great. LOTS of restaurants around, close to the river esplanade. It was also warm when I was there in early October and this hotel had great AC. At that time they were just coming out of Covid so their breakfast "buffet" was not the greatest but that was minor and undoubtedly back to "normal" now.

We were there last October and stayed at a B&B called Les Chambres d’Art. The owner is charming, the price was very reasonable and breakfast was included. It was in a convenient neighborhood as well. I booked directly with the B&B and no deposit was required. There are only 2 rooms and the other room was vacant during our stay. We enjoyed Bordeaux a lot.

I will also be going to Bordeaux in the fall, and these are the hotels/B&B's I've narrowed it down to:

Hotel Le Clos Huguerie (recently renovated)
Hotel Majestic
Les Seraphines (includes breakfast)
La Maison Galien (includes breakfast)

I have not stayed at any of these, but they all get good reviews on booking.com. I plan on booking directly with the hotel when I finally make up my mind!

We have stayed twice at Hotel 4 Souers (4 sisters). Excellent location, short block from a main tram stop. Pleasant people, not expensive. Bed/beds were comfortable it was clean and had air conditioning although you probably won't need it in mid October.
There is a great restaurant directly next-door where people start lining up an hour before entry time. There's a reason. One thing on the menu, steak frite with a wonderful salad. Pre fix.
