Can anyone recommend hotels in center city Bordeaux?
And what us the best way to get to the city from the airport? I can't tell how close the direct shuttle to the main train station is from the center city.
Thanks
We spent a week here last year and really liked the hotel. Nice staff, good rooms, and a great location.
It’s really right in the middle of everything - we walked the main pedestrian street, over to the cathedral, to the river, to the wine museum and more.
The shuttle bus takes 30 minutes; you can buy tickers online in advance

I also stayed in the same hotel as Valerie since we were on the same tour a week apart. I really liked the location as well. Enjoyed walking on the riverfront which was quite close along with the cathedral, museums, etc.
I took a taxi from the train station to the hotel so can’t tell you the walk time.
I really enjoyed Bordeaux. Very different from Paris.
Just spent 10 days in Bordeaux for a conference and loved it - despite reaching 106.
The hôtel was the Novotel Centre. It's your typical Novotel but it has a great location. If I would have been able to choose my hotel, I would have gone with the Zoologie hôtel.
I like Hôtel des 4 Soeurs in central Bordeaux. Good hotel. Good A/C. Close to many sites in the center of Bordeaux. .
The train station in Bordeaux is far enough from the historic center that even I used public transportation frequently, and I nearly always walk.
