Three friends have 2 days in Bordeaux September 7-9 and want to know good hotels in historic center for $250 per night. Each. Also do we need AC to be comfortable?

Premier Hotel Bordeaux

I would want AC. Bordeaux was quite warm to me in Oct 2021 so I can’t imagine how warm it would have felt in early Sept. I enjoyed it a lot!
I stayed at the Best Western Etche-Ona but no idea if that’s in your price point now. Excellent location.
Spent 10 days in Bordeaux last summer during one of the worst heat waves in ages. Trust me. You want AC.

Just got back from Bordeaux and I was very happy with this hotel and location. Walking distance to all the historic sites and the river. Lots of shops and restaurants close by. And I got this tip from this travel forum!
