We are planning to stay in Bordeaux for 3 or 4 days in April and would like to know which area is the best to be in the center close to restaurants, pedestrian streets? Thank you for the input.

I am going to Bordeaux on March 20th for my second time and I am staying at a very basic but well located hotel, The Quality Hotel Bordeaux right in that area. I can’t wait to find quaint cafes to eat with the early spring vegetables!
I booked this directly with Choice Hotels but have been emailing the hotel direct for directions and they are most helpful. Again very basic but location is important to me.
