Booking Versailles

I feel like I'm about to throw the computer out of the window.

Versailles is covered with the Paris Museum pass, right? I need to book a timed entry, right?

I've been trying to about an hour now to book our entry and I cannot figure it out. Can someone help me?

I'm using this website - https://billetterie.chateauversailles.fr/index-css5-chateauversailles-lgen-pg1.html

I'm picking my date and time (July 3 at 3 pm) in Step 1.

Then I pick "*FREE ADMISSION WITH FOUNTAINS SHOWS OR MUSICAL GARDENS" then I get kicked back to step 1 again. The one time I was successful, I think it was telling me that I was getting four tickets for children under 6 years.

Help me!

The four "free" tickets I got say this - *PASSEPORT AVEC GRANDES EAUX OU JARDINS MUSICAUX - TARIF GRATUIT -6
ANS

Does this mean that I got four tickets for children under 6 years?

If yes, I see no option for making free reservations for big people.

Ok, I think I figured it out. That was really much harder than it should be.

Emily,
Please let us know how you were able to book your “free” tickets - included in Paris Museum Pass.

I was checking the website last night, and had a difficult time as it kept sending me back to the screen where you choose the type of ticket!

Thanks!

you book the passport, the first option. I am looking at my order, and it is the pass - 1 entry - FREE ADMISSION WITH FOUNTAINS SHOWS OR MUSICAL GARDENS.

Ignore the "see conditions" next to the selection.

Skunklet,

The first option is €27.

When I chose the “FREE ADMISSION WITH FOUNTAINS SHOWS OR MUSICAL GARDENS (Option 3), and clicked on “checkout”, or “add to cart”, the system would go back to the previous screen showing all the various types of tickets.

I’m not going to Versailles anytime soon, but just wanted to know for future reference, or for the benefit of others who will be going soon.

you must log in to your account or create as needed
put names into ticket(s)
confirm
terms and conditions
i accept

print ticket

it literally just worked for me.

Paris Museum Pass covers only the Palace Museum, but NOT the musical fountains and musical garden (on Musical days). The gardens themselves are free on non-musical days.

If you still want to use the Paris Museum Pass on a musical fountains day (e.g. Jul 3) and also want to visit the gardens (which I highly recommend); you will have to buy separate tickets for the musical fountains.

This website has all the various ticket options:
https://en.chateauversailles.fr/plan-your-visit/tickets-and-prices

Palace only:

  • Select 'Palace Ticket'
  • Select Date & Time
  • Select 'Free Admission Palace' 0.00 € (time slot for Paris Museum Pass holder)
  • Select 'Full Price Palace' 18 € (if you don't have Paris Museum Pass)

Musical fountains ticket only:

  • Select 'Musical Fountains Show Ticket' (10.5 €)
  • Select Date (highlighted musical fountains day only; no time slot)
  • Select 'WEB TARIF PLEIN 10,50 €' and number of tickets

Musical Gardens ticket only:

  • Select 'Musical Gardens Ticket' (10 €)
  • Select Date (highlighted musical garden days only; no time slot)
  • Select 'WEB TARIF PLEIN 10,00 €' and number of tickets

Palace + Musical fountains/Musical gardens + Everything else:

  • Select 'Passport' 27 € for musical fountains day or musical gardens day
  • Select 'Passport' 20 € for non-musical day

Thanks Skunklet, and Mindfulness, for the detailed replies!

Yes, I read that on the website, thanks!
