So I’m still am a bit confused
I’m attempting to book two trips in April
With senior discount cards
4/12 Avignon to nice
4/19 nice to Paris
My ideal times are “ not bookable” yet
But on Avignon to nice trip I see one that is but it looks like part of the trip I can book assigned seats
But part is on a TER train that saids sit anywhere ?
I think this is the marseille to nice part
Any thoughts
I’ve tried man in seat 61 website
But still confused

Regional trains (like TER) don’t allow reservations. You just get on the train and sit where you can.
If your ideal times are not bookable, just wait for the schedule to be released. Are those time bookable in Jan or Feb? If so, just keep checking back for your dates.

With regional trains (TER) there is no designated seat.
On INTERCITÉS trains, seating on board is either free or by reservation, depending on your journey.
SNCF ticket sales generally begin gradually over the 2 to 6 months, (depending on train types) before the travel date.
