I recently found out Musée du Louvre requires compulsory time slot booking for Paris Museum Pass (PMP) holders. So I tried to book it on their website earlier today; and was able to do it successfully even though I haven't bought my Paris Museum Pass (will do it when I get to Paris). Here're a summary of the steps I took in case anyone is interested:
- Create a user account https://www.ticketlouvre.fr/louvre/b2c/index.cfm/account-login
- Click Select language to select the language of your choice at right top corner
- Click Sign up on the right hand side.
- Fill in all your details
- Click I'm not a robot and Sign up
- After the page is refreshed
- Click your username at the right top corner
- Click My account
- Under Your account informations, enter your mobile or home phone number (this is needed below)
- Click Confirm
- To book time slot for PMP, return to official Louvre online sales site https://www.ticketlouvre.fr/louvre/b2c/index.cfm/home
- Click Paris Museum Pass holders option
- Select date, time and number of tickets
- Click Confirm
- Under Review your order, click I agree to the Terms and Conditions ....
- Click Confirm your order
- Under Enter all the information enter your first and last name
- For N° de série ^^ (serial number), enter the phone number you've provided earlier if you haven't bought your PMP yet
- Click Payment (should be 0,00 € since you're using PMP)
- You should receive an email confirmation soon after
- To double check your order
- click your username
- click My orders
- If you no longer need your time slot order you should cancel it (so it's freed up for other visitors)
- Click the down arrow next to your order
- Click Cancel
^^ For N° de série; I'm assuming if you have bought your PMP online then it should come with a number which you can enter it here.
Edit:
Apparently N° de série does not have to be your phone number; it just have to be any number with 9 to 12 digits. Anything else will be rejected as invalid. Thanks Tocard for pointing this out :)
