Booked Novotel at Orly and CDG

As we have early flights I booked my Parents at the Novotel Rungis for $95 the night before our Morocco Flight. Our AirBnB is $245 a night due do the Soccer Finals. I saved us $245 and wil be close to Orly . Our room has a Double Bed and Double Sofa . We can stay in Paris with Friends or Relatives and Uber it whenever we want.

At CDG I booked the Novotel Villpoint for our 8-8:30 AM check-in time for our 11 AM flight to Copenhagen then on to SF. We will have breakfast and go to the airport. We are spending a few nights in Chantilly so we will take an Uber from Orly and one to the Novotel .

It helps to have a hotel near the airport.

I agree, if your departing flight is in the morning as I guess yours will both be. And I've stayed at other Novotels, a good choice as long as you're not looking for "character." But both of these hotels are a short distance outside the airports themselves, which means you'll have to depend on their own shuttles to get to your terminal. CDG has 14 hotels, at varying price ranges, within the airport, a short walk or tram ride to the terminals. Orly may have some also, I haven't used it.

Even better than a hotel near the airport is one at the airport, at least if the price difference isn't too great.

We don't need character just a place to stay . Other Hotels were $138 also not near the airport. We can use a Taxi or Uber as an option.

no chance of booking Novotel AT the airport -- I hate to depend on crappy unreliable hotel shuttles

Do not stay at a hotel that is only near the airport. There is little advantage if you must rely on shuttle service to reach check in. I remember a taxi strike which completely blocked the CDG entrance. If you want to stay near the airport, stay at the airport. From any of the hotels at the airport, the check in counter will never be more than 10 to 15 from when you depart your room.

What Tocard said. You are better off in Paris the last night and train to the airport or AT a hotel AT the airport where you just hop the CDGVAL to your terminal. I'd never want to depend on a cab from hear the airport.

Here's a list of hotels at CDG. Google Maps shows three hotels -- two Ibises and a Novotel -- at Orly. Check out some of their websites with your dates and see how much they cost. Maybe more than outside but worth it?

There are a lot more than 3 hotels AT CDG -- Hilton and Sheraton as well as the ones mentioned above. We use Novotel because it has been cheapest.

Hotwire changed us to the Zenzitude Hotel Roissy in a Executive Suite 431 sq.ft for $103 vs $150 $3 less than Novotel .We can take Uber from there to Terminal 1. The Novotel advertised a. Shuttle on Hotwire but it does not serve Terminal 1 and the agent offered to rebook us. I actually like having an indoor pool as we can enjoy it the day before and a nice Jacuzzi. No other availability or it was $200. I checked all around. We were going to get the Golden Tulip as an option but Zenzitude came up.

We are 99 percent sure we will be there and it's worth the savings.

Its a nice treat after our travels.
