Bonus nights in Paris

We are traveling through Paris-- our favorite place!-- in May on our way to/from Eastern Europe and were able to arrange a day in Paris on our return. On previous trips, we've stayed in the Marais several times as well as in the 7th but since we arrive late on Saturday night at GDG (10:30) and leave mid-day on Tuesday, I'm not sure where to stay, given our brief time available. Any suggestions?

Our go to for short stops in Paris is Henry IV Rive Gauche a nice little boutique hotel near Notre Dame in the Latin Quarter and just around the corner from Shakespeare and Company. It is close to the RER B stop at St. Michel and so easy for arrival and departure by train. And we really like being able to walk along the Seine and around Notre Dame at night and this is the perfect location for that. Plenty of good restaurants etc nearby although also the terrible tourist trap places of Rue Huchette to avoid.

Janet's recommendation sounds just perfect -- with an all-important proximity to the RERB so that you're a straight shot in and out, and smack dab in the middle of a charming quarter where you just walk out your door and have Paris at your feet!

With two full days in Paris, you could really stay anywhere close to a Metro or RER station, but for minimum hassle someplace near the RER "B" line, like Janet's suggestion, would be easiest.
