My stepchild will be coming home from Montpelier soon and we are not sure if it makes a difference whether to take a bolt or a taxi to the airport. It will be an early flight, so I’m a little concerned about the reliability of Bolt. Any experiences our suggestions would be welcome.

I read in the local press that since April 2024 in Montpellier, Bolt has been collaborating with official taxis, which you can therefore book through the Bolt app.
So it might be difficult to recommend Bolt over a taxi or vice versa.
Personally, I don't use either.
Also note that Bolt, Uber, and similar services, unlike official taxis, do not have access to designated taxi ranks in train stations and airports.

Taxi Bleu du Midi is what I use for the MPL airport or other. Largest company in Montpellier and has always been reliable, even at 4:30 am. Schedule the pickup a couple days before.
I like Bolt but can’t always be sure one is available and end up waiting too long or the app defaults to where it wants to pick me up, not where I want.
