Hello helpful travelers! My husband and I will be in Marseille 4/12-15. We would like to visit the Calanques by boat. I have read that you should reserve ahead of time; and, I believe I read somewhere else that there are many boats and you can just walk down to the harbor and choose one. This sounds a bit chancey, and also the weather is iffy in April. My preference would be to find a boat and rent on the day of our choosing, but, not sure how to go about it. Has anyone done this in the recent time period?

Are you looking for private chartered boats, or public cruises? No need to reserve the latter in April. For the former, prior arrangement is necessary!
