BinaxNow Covid test?

Has anyone used the BinaxNow test to get back into the U.S? We’re flying out of CDG via Iceland air and wondering if I should just go to a pharmacy or use the BinaxNow test. Thanks.

Those tests worked great for us in Switzerland last Sept. You do need to set up all your accounts on the app before you leave, and you need good wi-fi where you'll be testing the day before you fly. We brought them for our current trip. Safe travels!

There are countless reports on these threads of people using the test effectively. There have been a few people that did not find this option to work for them. In one case, they did not download the necessary app in advance and that was an issue. In another, the internet kept cutting out and they found the technology aspect frustrating. In the third case, they were not willing to give any details but just ranted on.

I have used the test twice for travel testing and it was quite easy and convenient. I would say that the overall experience has been positive for the vast majority of posters that have reported here.

I think you should do whichever option feels the most comfortable for you and the most convenient.

I'm not bringing a proctored test with us to France because I am hoping the US eliminates that requirement before we head back home. I think it will be easy to get a test at a pharmacy, if needed, and I have an acquired stack of self-tests that I will bring.

I have you them to return to the United States three or four times they worked perfectly for me every time. I realize I could go to the pharmacy or I’ve been in a resort where they actually offer free testing but I prefer to do it in the in my hotel room while I’m packing rather than waste time having strangers swab my nose. I’ve done it enough that I’m pretty good at it and it’s just easy for me. . You may find it more difficult

I have done it on my phone, my iPad, and my laptop and for me the easiest option is your cell phone. I found it easiest to prop it up where they can see everything and move it when they want you to show them something

Just did one a couple of days ago from our hotel room. Took all of 15-minutes, and they email you the results. We uploaded them to our airline website, and all was perfect.

My family and I just used this test a couple of weeks ago, coming back from Athens. Worked great! While it might be a bit more expensive than going to a local pharmacy or taking it at the airport, the convenience more than made up for it for us. We plan to use it on our next trip as well if it is still needed.
