We are taking the Rick Steves Basque country tour in May 2020. After the tour ends in Bilbao we want to return to Bayonne and rent a car to travel in Southwest France. I have seen some forum posts, not recent, that mention a bus but haven't been able to find anything specific. What's the best way to get to Bayonne from Bilboa that people have used?

We used the Ouibus to travel from Toulouse to St.-Jean-de-Luz (going through Bayonne), and then again across the border from there to San Sebastián. It was easy and reasonably priced. This was in July of 2018.
