Biking near Orange

We will be staying in Arles 4 nights without a car at the end of June (my husband, me, and two kids 12 and 14). One day, we are planning to take the train to Orange, see the theater, and go biking in the countryside. We do bike at home, but not usually that far, so electric bikes. Nature Bike Provence will send us with one of their mapped routes for the back roads, but I'm wondering whether we should go towards Chateauneuf-de-Pape or in a different direction for the best scenery, with ice cream or pastry as a bonus.

We had fun doing our bike tour on an 80-85 degree day. My husband wants an electric bike now; they really helped with the heat and some hills. On weekends, Nature Bike Provence does guided tours, but that didn't fit our timing. So we tried it following their route. They had several itineraries and we chose to bike along the Rhone and then through Chateauneuf-de-Pape. They told me which app and route to download, provided a phone holder for the bike so I could follow the route, and off we went. Getting in and out of Orange involved navigating some traffic - some wide sidewalks were marked for bikes, which I was trying to spot as we went along - and we timed it to avoid any morning/evening rush. The bike path along the Rhone and the country roads through the vineyards weren't busy and it was a beautiful way to see some of the countryside without boring the kids.
