Looking for a good bike route to pair with a river float from Vitrac to Beynac. We will be driving a car and staying in La Roque-Gageac. We are healthy 65 year olds but one of us prefers peaceable biking over higher risk/harder/longer rides. Any happy suggestions....

The main road is not bad. In May, we comfortably biked through there from Carsac-Aillac, through Montfort, Vitrac, Le Port and to La Roque Gageac (and just beyond, before we turned back). We had come down from Sarlat via the Voie Verte. Traffic was light. Drivers polite. This is France, after all. Cyclists are appreciated and respected.
