Biking in Provence

I would love to get recommendations on towns / villages that have bike paths or country lanes in the general area.
That would include north of Avignon and into the Camargue and as far east as Lourmarin, and west to Pont de Gard,

i realize hat the local shop will give the best directions,, so i guess my question should be,,,, What towns offer the best low key biking based on recommendations of the local shop, this worked well for me in the past... so i can concentrate on the towns

Paths that you have used or know of. I want to stay off of open roads and away from car or truck traffic as much as possible.

the more scenic the better, and I am moderate biker ,, ie " no spring chicken"

you could throw in a bike rental shop you like as well.

thank you

Generally the tourist information offices are a good start for this, but you might have to go to city-specific tourist offices, since I didn't get any result on the France-wide version. Here's one link I happened to open (https://www.provenceweb.fr/e/mag/outdoor/cycling.htm) but you can also find lots of results by Googling a topic like "cycling Luberon." Rick's Provence & the French Riviera guidebook also lists bike rental offices and some route tips (see the index).

You may find some off-road bike paths as part of Euro Velo's Mediterranean Route. Check out the link below for details on bike routes in various stages of development in France and all across Europe.

I biked through some of Provence and the Camargue region some years back. Quiet, lightly-traveled back roads are plentiful everywhere.

Let the shop that is renting you your bike plan your route.

Bring a map--the IGN topo maps are ideal--and have them mark your options on it.

For planning, reach out to the rental place or palces before you go to see what the options might be.

Nothing beats local knowledge in this.
