Soon, my partner and I will have one 1 to bike the Route Du Vin. We have a full day for the rentals and will start and end in Colmar.
My question is: should we prioritize going South of Colmar and visit Eugeisheim/Gueberschwihr/etc. via the 5 castle route or North to Kayersberg and beyond? I am thinking about nice wine tasting opportunities and the enjoyment of the ride.

Last summer, 4 of us rented eBikes at the Colmar train station and had an all day biking adventure. If I am recalling correctly, we went through Eguisheim, Kayserberg, Riquewihr, Ribeauville, and Selestat - then back to Colmar. That was a full day trip with some wine tasting, lunch, and sightseeing along the way. I felt our pace was good and not too hurried. One of our group had an app on their phone and we used that to navigate the farm roads. I don't recall the name of the app though. Have fun!
