Hello - has anyone biked from Blois to Chateau Chambord. There is a e-bike rental near the Blois train station and what appears to be bike lanes to the Chateau. Trying to plan a day of cycling of a nice scenic round trip… from the Chateau back along the river looks great but I’m unsure about the way there. Thanks for any perspective!
Yes, we did! But some time ago. It was a wonderful day!
We rented a regular bike (not e-bike) from a spot near the Gare de Blois.
We did not take the route along the river. We took basically the D33. Cross the river on the old bridge right downtown. Stay on the D33. But once you enter the chateau grounds, there is a bike / pedestrian trail going off to the left that takes you right to the chateau (marked as a green line on Google Maps).
We returned the same route, but there are many alternate routes including the one along the river. I see on Google Maps there is a bike lane along the river too.
It was about 45 minutes ride each way, plus stops for ice cream, coffee or whatever you want enroute.
I've been wondering about this trip as well, and am wondering about locking the bikes up at Chambord to tour the chateau before the return--assume most bike rental outfits rent locks as well? Has anyone done this?
Yes - the company I am going to rent from supplies locks and helmets in the price. I believe I have found a nice route to and from Chambord that maximizes time along the river. Should be fun.

Velos Vertes. I think that was the one we rented from as well. Right near the station. Very friendly. They got a kick out of the fact that my last name is Blois.
Thanks, we will check this out!
