I used s-cape travel twice now. also it is listed as French-biketours.com.
Yes the accommodation with breakfast was great. The bikes used were so so (heavy but maybe that was standard). Routes well ok but could have been more customized. They completely used Guibo a standard route planner. tt were not there to really check to verify they were in great shape.
The first time I had a problem and luckily a bike sore was nearby. I fixed it and the hassle of getting a refund was not work it for the repair cost.
The second year was a real disappointment. The tandem bike was absolutely not well checked over. The back end was too wobbly. When going on a steep downhill, the nut and screw attaching the tandem fell off and my child nearly crashed. Upon calling them, they were insisting we push the bike to a local bike shop in town somewhere and get them to repair it. Now it was 30 degrees not, 4:pm and this was not at all practical!!! They were extremely uncooperative. Fortunately my daughter, an attorney, was there with her child and made it clear we would not risk this so late in the day, in this heat, with no guarantee any bike store would guarantee the repair. She made it clear we needed an uber to take us to the hotel and the agency needed to pick up the bikes, repair them and return them to the hotel the next day. They were extremely resistant to taking any remedial action.
We took the Uber at our expense (forget about asking them for a refund). This was so much of a hassle
and frankly they really need to take a better effort to make sure these bikes are in great condition for use.
Also they need to be more willing to help in arranging the situation particularly in the heat, time of day, and necessity for a safe repair in a timely manner.
