Has anyone used Hat Tours, UTracks or Radreisen in France? I can't figure out how these work. They all seem to use the same boats and some even use the same days - so are there two or more companies on the same boat? Any enlightenment would help. Thanks.

reburros: Have you contacted the tour companies directly? If not, e-mail or better yet, give 'em a call. As an alternative, you may consider contacting BikeTours.com (AKA Bike Tours Direct) as that firm books trips using HAT Tours...three are listed as bike/barge tours in France. We've booked a number of bicycle trips through BikeTours and have been very satisfied with their service, etc. If you are a member of the Adventure Cycling Association and book via BikeTours, there's a 5% discount.

Thanks for the lead to the American agent Bruce. I emailed them and will call on Monday. I have had email conversations with Utracks and Hat Tours, but with the time difference it would be easier to speak with an agent in North America.
