Beyond Parc de Verdon

Suggestions for activities after hiking in the Parc de Verdon in Aix-en-Provence?

Easy hiking in Corsica or Sardinia?
We plan to do an RS tour of Paris on the way there or on our return.

A colleague went there on her honeymoon and I have had it on my list since--I love a gorge hike!
How much time do you have at your disposal? That is how I would determine if flying to one of the islands would be worth it or not (also, the flight schedules and prices). Also, time of year.
I don't know about easy hiking on Sardinia--we really challenged ourselves! I am sure there are some more low-key hikes you could find.

From the Verdon, you could head to the Mercantour, the Queyras or the Ecrins for more hiking without heading to the islands. I am not a specialist, but there should be plenty of options at all difficulty levels.

I don’t know when you want to go but it’s right now very hot = 100F. I d suggest you stay mainland. After le Verdon, you can go to les Cevennes (Nimes, Ales, etc…), Ardeche (it s great to row and it s fresh and beautiful), le Mercantour (Alps, north of Nice)
