An elderly and a middle-aged woman are doing a whirlwind stop in France from the U.S. to attend a wedding at the Château de Carsix. What's the best way to travel from Paris to Carsix if you don't want to drive? TIA!
Carsix is close to Bernay, which is on the train mainline between Paris Saint-Lazare & Caen.
So it's taxi from airport to Paris Saint-Lazare, train to Bernay (there are a few direct ones every day, otherwise need to change somewhere but that is straightforward). Once in Bernay, I guess someone from the wedding party could pick them up? Else, there will be a few taxis in a small town of this size, but they will need to be pre-arranged.
I doubt anybody here has heard of Carsix. I looked it up:
In the département of Eure (Normandy), SW of Rouen. Population 262.
Nearest town Bernay (10 Km), which has a station.
Such a small and obscure village is unlikely to have a bus service. You could get a taxi from the station (Bernay), you would have to plan and book in advance. Without a car you will have problems. I suggest you consult the bride and groom. How are the other guests getting there and back?
The château has a website. They seem to specialise in weddings: http://www.chateaudecarsix.fr/
Address: 3, rue Gustave Heon, 27300 Carsix
