Oddly enough, the train trip is a little faster if you go to Paris and change for Amboise than if you take the more direct route from Lyon to Amboise. However, it's more expensive. If you drove it would be 8 hrs 45 min travel time, according to the Rome2Rio estimate.

At CDG take the train to Amboise it requires one stop
