Our flight plan was just changed by the airline and now we are flying out of Paris via Orly. I had everything planned for a CDG exit so now I need to make adjustments. I checked the SNCF and RER and see that there is no good direct connection like there is for CDG. This is in September and we will be staying in the 7th near the Duroc and Vaneau Metro stations. What is the best way to get to Orly by 6:30am? Thanks in advance!
Pre booked taxi is the way to go.
Stay near Orly the night before.
I'm flying home through Orly and looked at the connection using RER B to Antony then Orlyval to the airport (12 euro for the RER and Orlyval ticket). My flight isn't until 2 pm, however, so I didn't consider how early I'd have to get up to make it there.
Taxi again.
Orly is very close to Paris compared to CDG, so it's an easy taxi ride. Since there are no hotels at Orly, you'd need to wait for an airport shuttle anyway after lugging your stuff from Paris the day before. Beware some jams on the way. There's a lot of activity out there from midnight on as the wholesale food market, Rungis, is next door.
If you could get to the RER B at Denfert-Rochereau a little before 6 AM, the Orly bus is right outside the station.
Buy tickets from the machine at the bus stop. The bus has a dedicated lane, and at that hour, it won't take long to get to Orly.
