Best way to get to CDG from Versailles

Hello,

My husband and i are ending our visit to France in September in Versailles. My thought is we will spend our last day visiting the village and then go to CDG the night before we fly out the next day (at 11 am). I am imagining we could get a later train maybe, so we can spend most of the day in the village of Versailles (we will visit the palace the day before).

What do y'all think is the best, fastest mode of transport to CDG. We will be hauling our suitcases with us.

If you have more than a backpack/purse and a single other piece of luggage take a taxi or Uber from Versailles. Versailles is not really a village — I mention that in case you are expecting someplace very small and rural. I think it feels quite suburban in a very nice way.

Versailles isn't a village; there are villages near Paris. But if you want Versailles then take the RER C to St. MIchel/Notre Dame stop in Paris and the RER B to the airport. This will cost 13 a head and is elevators/escalators all the way so not the hassle with luggage that the metro would be. Get a hotel AT the airport on the CDG VAL airport transport line. There are many. We usually use the Novotel, but there are many choices. You will need a paper airport ticket or to load the airport ticket on a clean Navigo Easy (no other train tickets). Or if you have a Navigo Decouverte weekly pass, that will cover it. The single ticket will cover the whole trip as long as you transfer underground with St. Michel being the obvious point to do that.
