Hi Folks,
In a bit more than a month I'll be meeting up with my sister and her husband at Disneyland Paris (DLP) to run my first half marathon! We'll be staying on-site for three nights (part of the required package with the ticket for the run), so we are working on doing French day trips from there. We've also been to Paris before, so we are planning some trips for sites we've missed. I'm pretty confident about getting to and from central Paris using the RER, but I have a more complicated situation for our other day trip. On Sept 26th we are hoping to visit Monet's Garden in Giverny. We'll be starting at Disneyland Paris in the morning. At the end of the day I'll be hopping on a train to Baden Baden, while my sister and her husband will be flying back to Germany late at night (at 8:50pm). Here are the options I've considered thus far:
- Rent a car for the day trip to Giverny, picking up the car in the morning and dropping it back off at DLP. Then we each get on our appropriate trains to Baden Baden/Airport from DLP.
- Taking the RER into Central Paris, then the appropriate train out to Giverny and back. Maybe bring luggage with us and split up earlier?
I'm not sure what option makes the most sense time/money wise, or if another option could also exist. Any thoughts/wisdom?
