Best way to get from Eiffel Tower area to Bayeux at 7pm

I am taking a day tour that ends at the Eiffel Tower around 7pm and wanting to get to Bayeux, France after tour ends. I am scheduled for a Normandy tour leaving from Bayeux at 8:15am the next morning and there is no transportation available to get me from Paris to Bayeux by 8:15am. So plan was to go to Bayeux and stay overnight in order to be able to get to tour on time the next morning. Any suggestions? Didn't know whether to return to hotel in Paris and leave from there after the Eiffel Tower tour, or catch transportation to Bayeux right from the Eiffel Tower since it is going to be 7pm. I wasn't sure if the Eiffel Tower was close to a train station?

The Eiffel Tower isn't close to Gare St. Lazare. Doing a dummy check for a date in September on a Friday, there are two direct trains, meaning you don't have to change trains to get from Paris-St. Lazare station to Bayeux. One is at 19:04 arriving 21:16 and the other is 20:44, arriving 23:05. You need to check the train schedule yourself and purchase your ticket: sncf.com.

Whichever one you take, you need to call in advance to arrange a taxi from the Bayeux station to your hotel. Just google Bayeux taxi to call one. If I were in your situation, I'd leave the Paris tour early and take the 7 pm train that arrives at 9:16 rather than the one that arrives after 11 pm. What time does your Bayeux hotel lock the door?

How much luggage are you traveling with? You may have to go back to the hotel or wherever you stored your luggage because I am not sure that you can bring luggage into the Eiffel Tower. There is no left luggage at Gare St. Lazare or I would suggest that you leave your luggage there before the Eiffel Tower tour. Maybe you can store your luggage with a company that will meet you with it at Gare St. Lazare so you can just head straight to the train station after the tour.

Thank you so much for quick responses. Husband and I are just packing a backpack so not much luggage. Not sure what time Bayeux hotel shuts down but will look into this. Might be goo idea to cut things short at Eiffel tower and try to get train at 7. What station would we go to to catch the train? How far from Eiffel tower is this station? Might not have to return to Paris hotel if this is possible and would save us time?

The first two responses tell you the station, Gare Saint Lazare, that you use in Paris for this trip. Google maps will tell you the exact distance from the Eiffel Tower to the station but as mentioned in the first response, they are not especially close to each other.

If you can get a direct train, it will be about two hours - which means you will arrive later than a lot of hotels keep their lobby open. You will need to let them know you are arriving late. I would definitely go in the evening even though it will be inconvenient. Trying to get there in the morning by 8:15 is just too difficult.

Your in a tight spot. The Eiffel Tower won't accept any luggage bigger than 19 x 12 x 8 inches, and there is no baggage check. If you day tour company can store your bags on their bus while you tour the tower, you'll be OK. Otherwise, you may have to skip the tower part of the tour and go straight to the train station. Also, taking public transit from the Eiffel Tower to Gare St. Lazare can be timely and confusing if you're not use to Paris. I would take a taxi instead to make sure you get to the station in time for the early train.
