Hi-we have a flight at 11:30 am on a Monday in September. We're at an apt. in the 11th a. Can anyone advise me as to the most efficient and dependable mode of transport to CDG airport? Your advice is appreciated, merci beaucoup.
Use taxi, Uber, or hired car. Assume best way did not mean cheapest way.
Cheapest would be Metro to Gare du Nord, then RER B to CDG. 10 euro per person.
OK, I didn't mention the Easy CDG bus. That is probably actually the cheapest.
You need to leave Paris at 7:30. Arrange a taxi the night before on the G7 English telephone line. It is not always possible to get a cab in the morning at the last minute. I would not trust shuttles or private car services as their reliability is less and it is a catastrophe to have your ride not show on the way TO the airport.
It will cost about 50 Euro for up to 3 people give or take.
Or take the train for 10 Euro each. Your exactly route depends on which metro is your station in the 11th. I an a sort of belts and suspenders person when it comes to going TO the airport, so even if I have lined up a cab, I always know the RER route I need to take and am prepared to do that. I have never had a G7 cab not be there a few minutes early.
I always take a taxi - has always been worth it to me.
Taxi is the best way, if you have much luggage.
How many of you are there, and what part of the 11th? AirFrance bus from Gare de Lyon might be an option -- but if you're anything more than two people, take a taxi or Uber.
If you are not weighed down by luggage take the RER B! Took the RER B from central Paris (Notre Dame stop). 10 euro, lots of travelers, quicker than a taxi, trains were leaving every 8-10 minutes, no issues whatsoever. Got to CDG in 35 minutes. Walk upstairs to the gate. Easy.
