Best way to get from CDG terminal 2b to Paris 9th arr.

Discovered our flight from LHR lands at terminal 2b at CDG around 4 pm on a Tuesday. Looking for information about the best option for getting to our hotel in the 9th arr. Looks like 2b is not connected to the main terminals.

I also agree that a taxi is the most convenient, however, pricier than the RER train, which is about 12 Euros per adult. I traveled to Paris in the summer of 2022 with my wife and two teenagers and we went right to the official taxi stand outside. As a solo traveler or couple, I have taken the RER, which departs every 15 minutes or so, but can be a pain and time consuming to get to based on your arrival terminal. It should be a flat rate of approximately 55 Euros to the right bank and approximately 65 Euros to the left bank, so the 9th arr. being on the right bank.

I hope you have the best time in Paris!

9th arr. is a big area. Where exactly is your hotel? Maybe the Roissybus goes right there if your hotel is near Opera.

The hotel is near Gare du Nord. We would need a larger taxi, like a SUV, due to my wheelchair and our 2 suitcases. Would larger taxis be at terminal 2b? If not, is there an easy way to get from 2b to the RER train?

Option 1- RER to Gare du Nord, then take the Metro
Option 2- Taxi
Option 3- Hire a private shuttle (www.suntransfers.com)

All of these work fine. You just have to look at your party size, luggage, etc.

The Train/RER station is located in the middle of Terminal 2. Between terminals 2C, D, E & F. You have the option to walk through the terminals to the center or take the shuttle service. Easy CDG, https://easycdg.com, can help with showing you how to get from Terminal 2B to the Train Station.

For the taxi, you would just follow the signs after picking up your luggage to the door. Ignore those that approach you.

No idea if there are taxis at terminal 2B.
But in general there are larger vehicle taxis at the airport. When you get to the front of the line, you tell the person organizing things that you need a larger taxi. People who need smaller taxis will get to go ahead of you but as soon as a larger taxi pulls up, it's yours. I think we waited for one or two people to go ahead of us; it was not a long wait.

Another vote for RoissyBus. It leaves right outside of arrivals at CDG, costs 13€ per person, doesn't involve stairs, escalators or changes, and allows you to actually see the city on arrival rather than tunneling underground.

Another factor that no one has mentioned, traffic.
We usually take the RER to go into the city from CDG, but once we took a taxi. Traffic was horrible and we sat for a considerable time in a road that was a parking lot.

Jojo Rabbit, suprised to head that you can’t take a wheelchair on the RER. Figured the airport and Gare du Nord both have elevator access. Once in Paris, I will take mainly buses and ttrams, or walk.

I did not say that. I would assume that you can take a wheelchair on the RER. My point is that if you have a wheelchair, it would be more convenient to take a large taxi or car hire.

Found this, might help you with your decision, be sure to read about reserving the wheelchair ramp for the RER access: https://wheelchairtravel.org/paris/public-transportation/

Good luck with whatever transport you choose.
