Best way into Paris center from Orly Airport?

I did a search of this topic, both on here and google and saw a lot of conflicting and out of date information. Hoping to clarify for my upcoming arrival in June.

I'll be connecting from Lisbon, arriving around 4pm local time.

Looks like there is a bus/shuttle called Orlyval that goes to Anthony station, and then I can take the RER/metro into the city.

Does this seem correct/current? Is there a better way? How much would I expect a taxi to cost? Looks like it's only about 12 miles.

Thanks so much, we have just a couple days in Paris so I want to maximize my time that first evening.

We are staying at Villa Des Princes (6th?) near the Odeon stop it appears. Should be walk-able to many things.

I strongly recommend your taking a taxi from the official taxi queue. Cost is fixed at 30€. Taxi drivers are not tipped. Have your destination written on a piece of paper and give it to the driver.

Orlyval is a rail shuttle that connects you to the RER B line into the city, at Antony station. The cost is €12.05, which includes a transfer to the RER or Metro. (If you just wanted to get to Antony the cost of Orlyval is €9.30).

If you were traveling solo without heavy luggage I would have recommended it, because in your case your hotel is actually quite close to an RER B station at St-Michel-Notre-Dame so the trip would not have been too complicated. However, with two people a taxi at €30 is only €6 more, and with three or more people a taxi is actually more cost-effective.

I used the transportation (rail shuttle, RER) as Anthony describes and its easy and relatively quick. But, with two or more people, a taxi starts to make sense.

As always, this forum is the best. It will be two of us, sounds like taxi is the economical option here. I'll make sure we have it written in advance to give the driver.

Just a couple of backpacks for luggage, so no big deal on that. We travel very light. Thank you!
