We will be in Annecy the night before a flight out of Geneva to Nice the next day. Ideas on the “best”, most direct method of getting to the airport in Geneva?

Bus 272 is direct from Annecy to Geneva airport.
Check the times online and see if they suit your flight schedule; plan to get to the airport a little bit more than hours ahead to make room for traffic delays.
If it does not work for you: a taxi is somewhere in the 100-120€ range and should be prearranged.

what time is your flight to nice?
after spending 2 nights in geneva we took a taxi to annecy from our apt in geneva to our apt in annecy (door to door) for 100E.
it was the best and took about 35 minutes.
we used taxi-massingy.com gaelle, the owner, was fabulous to deal with. she is on it.
we also did a private tour of sites in town then to villages around the lake. very gorgeous area with all the green pastures and mountains. enjoy

The Leman Express L2 ( CEVA rail network ) runs from Annecy to Geneva Cornavin , then quick shuttle to the airport . about an hour , no road traffic to be concerned about .
