Should we use a shuttle or Taxi? I know it will be a busy day and want the most reliable transportation that morning..any suggestions are appreciated.

Taxis are the most reliable choice any time. Shuttles are good when they are good and if they don't show, it will be your fault and they will keep your money. Or if their river doesn't show, they just won't make the run and there you are. Taxis are easy, just join the official taxi queue (don't go with scammers in the terminal -- true anywhere) and have your hotel address written down including postal code.

There should be very little traffic that day and nothing official happens near the Madeleine to block traffic, so a taxi would be fast. Another option is to take the Roissybus because it drops you on the west side of the Garnier Opera building, which is a short walk to Madeleine.
