Best train options Paris to Loches with baby, direct as possible

I'm trying to help my son, his wife and baby figure out travel to Loches on a Wed. mid April. They land at CDG about 10 a.m. then hoped to get a direct train to Sainte Pierre des Corps/Tours then rent a car. But the times for direct trains seem to be either too early for reality with 10 a.m. landing or pretty late in the day.
Should they try to taxi to a different train station in Paris area for improved timing to Tours? ( I have checked Montparnasse and that also looks like unrealistic timing.) They could train somewhere out of Paris, short of Tours, then rent a car? Maybe Le Mans? Or Orleans? Or perhaps there is another town on the route with car rental options that has direct train access from Paris?
The idea was to avoid renting a car at CDG and driving after flying overnight. And with a baby, the hope was to avoid changing trains, or keeping trip as straight forward as possible.
Maybe the choice of Loches is making this complicated as well.
And finally, is it possible more train options will show up on SNCF the closer we get to timing? I realize I may be grasping here.. but thought I'd ask.
Thanks in advance for any advice. Always appreciate it.

Loches is really tough to get to which is why I’ve never made it there. To my knowledge, there really is no easy choice trying to reach Loches after a transatlantic flight into CDG. The afternoon trains from Paris take about four hours and involve a transfer to a bus, Renting a car at CDG is not a good plan after a transatlantic flight.

They could take a TGV train from Paris to Tours-St Pierre des Corps ( 1 hour) and overnight in Amboise, continuing 25 miles the next day to Loches by bus or car. The Peugeot/Renault dealers in Amboise rent cars out. They could also just overnight in Paris and continue the next morning to Loches after resting up. That may be the best choice.
