What is considered the best time of the day to visit the Eiffel Tower. We would like to take the elevators up to the summit, spend some time there and on 2nd floor. After that we wish to take the Seine River evening cruise just as the Paris lights turn on. This will be in October 2024. Please share your experiences. Thanks.
The "best" time of day to go to the top of the ET may be subjective. but I prefer full daylight on a clear day, not late in the day when lower light levels make it harder to see details in the distance. YMMV. As for the evening cruise, you can check the web for sunset times in Paris for your dates. For October, that could be anywhere from 7:30 on the first to 5:30 on the 31st (time change happens during the month).
Sunset is also beautiful. Depends on your aesthetics.
what time do the tickets go on sale? US Pacific Time?
The time when you can get tickets.
Tickets are usually released 60 days in advance, midnight Paris time
for september 15th , they should be available July 17th midnight Paris time. The website is still not allowing that. It is almost 1:00 AM Paris time on July 17th.
Probably because of the Olympics and Paralympics which don't finish until September 8th. The last few weeks the ticket releases have not adhered to the normal release schedule and have been very sporadic. My best advice is to check often and hope you hit it just right. In regards to best time of day to see the ET, I always like to start about 30 minutes before sunset to you can see everything with natural light and then also with everything all lit up after dark. Enjoy!!
