We are looking at a Paris trip, 7-10 days, in the period April to early June. What do folks recommend for timing within that window, weather-wise and otherwise? Merci!
April is best for flowers: Chestnuts, wisteria, bulb flowers in the parks. Very unpredictable weather; usually chilly. May is our choice and often it is temperate and sunny with occasional showers but we have been in Paris when it was cold and rainy and miserable. And everything is more unpredictable with today's weather changes. June is too hot for us. Generally temperate; often sunny and warm, but if you don't have AC nights can be rough. Usually however warmer and sunnier weather.
We are going from April 15 through May 31 this year. We'd rather chance rain and chill than heat. YMMV.
I think the middle to end of May is ideal. It’s warming up and I have the found the weather to be better than April but you are ahead of the June/July crush. It’s good walking around weather in my opinion. This year, I’m going in late February to early March, early to mid May, and September with expectations/hope for good weather during the latter two trips.
We went in late March last year and the weather was great, and there weren't a lot of people. We also went in October and the crowds were higher.
Enjoy!
