Best route from Marne-la Vallee near Disneyland to Colmar.....???

Looking at google maps, they give me 3 or 4 different routes. Does anyone have recommendations for the Drive. ?

October 23rd, leave in the morning. Want to stop for a quick lunch somewhere pretty. My Mom loves scenic drives.

Thanks for any and all advice.

viamichelin suggests the route through Chalons-en-Champagne, Nancy, St Die-des-Vosges, Selestat, Colmar. The stretch between St Die and Selestat should be quite scenic as you pass over the Vosges Mountains. This route gives good time (5 1/2 hours) and minimizes road tolls.

Over the Vosges is indeed somewhat scenic, particularly if any pretty leaves are still hanging on - we have had a very early change because the cold night came early this year - but it will be considerably faster staying on the Autoroute - Paris > Reims > Metz > Strasbourg > Colmar.

You will be driving by several large American cemeteries, very moving places. Check the American Battle Monument Commission at abmc.gov to find one. It's very different from the Normandy cemetery, as you are likely to be alone except for a French caretaker, no music, no flag raising ceremony, just you and our very American melting pot of different names and religions united in battle and burial.
