Best Restaurants for Vegetarians in Paris

Hello all,

My wife and I have a trip to Europe coming up in March. We will be going to Paris for the first time and our second day there will be her birthday.

Does anyone have any recommendations for restaurants I could look into that might have great vegetarian options for her? Ideally somewhere with great ambience, or a great view, or anything else that might make it a memorable experience for her. :)

We will be staying in Henri IV Rive Gauche hotel, so if anyone has any other recommendations around that area for restaurants or cafes I'd love to hear those as well.

Thank you so much!

What sort of budget do you have? I ask because many of the fine dining establishments have either become vegetable centric, or have vegetarian menus and that would certainly be memorable!

Hebe is a 5-minute walk from your hotel. They always have a vegan option as well as a vegetarian option for every course as well as non-vegetarian options. It is a great restaurant. It does not have a great view. A lot people like Restaurant Arpege in the 7th. I find it way too expensive but I cannot deny the very lovely atmosphere, assuming the staff is not being testy. I have not yet been to Pouliche in the 10th (if you are willing to go that far) but I have heard great things about it and they do an all vegetarian menu on Wednesdays. Also Maceo and Semilla could be options for you. You could walk to Semilla in less than 15 minutes.

Thank you all for the suggestions! @Mary57 I don't have a particular budget--this will likely be our big splurge in terms of dining experiences on the trip, so if you have recommendations on the high end I'd love to hear them!

Oookay! Looked at the prices for Arpege and I do believe I've found something above our budget! :) I would be interested in trying it, definitely, but my wife is the vegetarian and food (even something that's more of a food experience like dining at a three Michelin star restaurant) just isn't something that appeals to her enough to justify spending that much.

We are set for brunch at La Potager de Charlotte on Sunday, dinner at Pouliche Wednesday night, and Hebe and Maceo look promising as well!

Thanks again for all of the recommendations. If there are any other restaurants with decent vegetarian options please let me know but I think this is a great start!

Most restaurants can serve a vegetarian meal. There are always salads.

Many would find it useful if you were to include your budget window in your post. It really helps when offering suggestions.

Table de Colette has a following among vegetarians. I found it pretentious, the regular food (non-vegetarian) uninspiring.

One of my most unpleasant dining experiences in Paris was at Hébé. The food is interesting, but the staff was condescending if not outright rude. I prefer their sister restaurant dinon, on rue du Dragon in the 6th. Staying in the 5th, Narro is a much more interesting choice than is Hébé, but Narro´s vegetarian selection might be more limited. You might call in advance and inquire about a vegetarian menu option.

That's a good point. We likely are limited to a budget of 100 euro per person per meal. Maybe a little more for my wife's birthday dinner.
