Best Provence destination reachable by train from Paris

Please complete this sentence:
"If I had 2-3 days to spend in a quaint town/city in Provence with beautiful scenery and Roman ruins (nearby), reachable by high speed train from Paris, I would visit______________________."
Thank you!
P.S. Aix-en-Provence, Saint Remy (not sure train goes there), and Arles are ideas I have.

Arles. Or Nimes.

Both are an easy train ride from (a) each other and (b) Avignon. Bus connections, in season, vary from each, so your final decision might depend on what off-rail places (e.g. Pont du Gard, Les Baux, Camargue) you want to see.

Aix is charming but far from stuff. St. Remy only by bus; you won't see as much if you base there.

Definitely plenty to see by train in such a short time.

My mother in I spent 3 nights in Avignon then took a day trip to Arles (easy 20 minute train ride from Avignon)

We loved our stay in Avignon!
