Best Paris transit pass as of January 2025

I'm headed to Paris later this month and am trying to figure out the most economical pass for transit.

I'll be arriving on a Wednesday and will need to get from CDG to my hotel in the 15th, likely by RER B plus the metro or tram. On Sunday evening I'll head back to CDG to stay at a hotel there for an early flight home on Monday. For all of the days that I'll be there, I expect to be taking between 2-5 metro/bus/tram trips each day.

I'd prefer a single pass with unlimited rides so that I don't have to keep track of things. My research seems to indicate that a Navigo Week pass would be best - the All Zone pass for €31.60 sounds like a good deal (especially since two €13 tickets to/from CDG is €26 alone.)

Does this sound correct, or am I missing something?

The Navigo weekly pass, valid for any Monday to Sunday period, will likely be the best option. At 31.60€ for all zones, load it onto either a Navigo Découverte card (5€), or a properly configured smartphone using either the IDF Mobilités app or the Bonjour RATP app.

I had the same question regarding my trip in March and April but now I don't know what the RDF(?) or ATP(?) that was in the response?? Is one better than the other?Thank you

If you want to use a smartphone to hold your public transportation fares, either app should work fine. If you use apple products, the IDF Mobilités app is specifically mentioned as compatible. Android phones work well with either app.

I still use a card, and you can purchase a Navigo Découverte card (5€), attach a photo where specified, and load any pass. This is easier for some people.

I’ve been researching this also. It appears to me that the only thing available to tourists now (as of January 1, 2025) is the Travel pass for 1, 3, or 5 days, not the Navigo weekly pass. It is a good deal more expensive: €76.25 for 5 days. The official site only lists that for non-residents. If that is the case, ‘pay as you go’ using the phone app may be the best option for many. I’d love insight from anyone who has actually been in Paris since the first if the year.

Just wondering if you can still use individual carnet tickets. Or do we have to use a pass.
Going to Paris for 3 days in April . There will be 4 of us.

You may use individual tickets if you like. Bus/tramway tickets are 2€ each, métro/RER/Transilien train tickets are 2.50€. RER/métro tickets to/from airports are 13€. There is no such thing as a "carnet".

Dan, Alas, Le carnet est mort! I do miss it, and keeping one paper metro ticket in my wallet after leaving Paris. The story goes that as long as you have a metro ticket, you will return to Paris. I carried one for nearly 40 years, before losing it. (But I still made it back to Paris, 4 times since the loss.)

We will be in Paris Thursday through Wednesday. We have a Navigo Week pass from a previous trip. Can we reload it to get us through our trip?

You don't have a weekly. pass, you have presumably a Navigo Decouverte card . Your trip is awkward for its use, but you could load it Thursday for use through Sunday and load it again for Mon-Weds. If you use the train to and from the airport it is probably worth doing.

If you are taking a cab from the airport then the best deal will be to get a Navigo Easy card and load it with metro tickets which are good for train travel anywhere in the Ile de France except the two airports. Each trip costs 2.50.
