We are doing the Best of Paris tour from Aug 25 - Aug 31.
Friday early AM - Arrive in Paris
Saturday - Free day
Sunday at 15:00 (3pm) - Tour Starts
Saturday at 7:00 - Tour Ends
Sunday - Flight leave Paris
We basically have all day on the first Saturday and all day on the second Saturday as free days.
We would like to take a day trip to Normandy via a small group tour. Which day would you go to Normandy, Saturday before the BOP tour, or after?
How scenic is the route from Paris to Normandy? Is it mostly highway, or do you see some of the French country side and towns?
Also, any recommendations for a tour company to use?
I know it is a long day, but we really want to at least see Normandy beaches, and the American cemetery.
