Looking for good happy hour recommendations in the 7th district…so good restaurant to hit afterwards there as well would be great.
I assume you mean in Paris?
Happy hour is not often seen in France, so just find a bar you like the look of.
And check out the restaurants on the way.
FYI: Actually France does have happy hour now, but it just means certain beverages are at a slightly reduced rate from 5-7, hours where people typically have a snack (goûter) rather than an apéro .
Another innovation is brunch in a lot of places on weekends.
A nice place to enjoy sunset, Rosa Bonheur sur Seine: https://rosabonheur.fr/lieu/rosa-sur-seine/
Just about every bar and Café. I went by seem to have some kind of happy hour now they weren’t outstanding and great but they were having happy hour.
So I would just look around near where you are and see if you see any signs that imply there’s a happy hour going on.
The last few years I've seen the terrace at l'Eclair on Rue Cler packed with happy hour folks. It's usually a fairly young after work crowd.
I like to eat at Cafe Roussillon just down the street on the corner. If you are in the mood for Italian, there is a very good Italian restaurant just a block and a bit east of Rue Cler on Avenue de Grenelle called Di Felice. A friend had a wonderful meal at Le Florimond on Avenue de la Motte-Picquet just east of Rue Cler. I've also had friends have good meals at Auberge Bressane which is just another block or so down Av de la Motte-P. I have not eaten at the last 2 as they both have fairly "meaty" menus and I'm mostly vegan.

Any interest in WWII history? There is a cool cafe with such an interesting history that I would like to go there sometime when their chalkboard reveals something I think I could eat, lol.
