We are off to Paris for about 2 weeks. We have older iPhones with physical SIM cards. We're looking for a good deal on short time French SIM cards so we can access lots of data and send some emails. Local phone calls, not so much. Any recommendations from travelers who have just been there? Merci !

I have not been to Paris in decades. In the last few years, we have traveled to Portugal, Spain and Germany. We have used the Orange Holiday (comes in both esim and Sim) and would highly recommend it. Orange is a company based in France and you will actually get a working French telephone number which will allow you to make and receive regular telephone calls and text messages in almost all of Europe. It is very convenient to be able to telephone hotels or restaurants.

Don't forget that you can send emails and "access lots of data" over WiFi which your hotel should have. Also, many restaurants, museums and other places offer free WiFi.

I’m the same with an old phone needing a simcard.
Last Fall I ordered an Orange Holiday 30gb card from Amazon, it was $60 CAN.
Masses of data and ability to make calls home to Canada too.
It activated instantly on arrival, and never dropped or slowed service anywhere on my trip through France.
