Wondering if there are any of the Rick Steves guided walks in Paris that are especially great in the evening? I've heard walking around the city once the lights are on is magical. We'll be in Paris early May. Although since the sun sets so late (looks like 9pm on May 1) maybe that's harder to do?

Me, I just like strolling up one side of the Seine and down the other between Ile St Louis and the ET
I love strolling along the Seine at night -- but there are lots o great walks. I always feel comfortable in Paris -- the streets are hopping at least until midnight
I agree that walking along the Seine at night is memorable. You also might want to take a trip on one of the boats which goes up and down the Seine - the sights are equally lovely, and it is fun to be on the river at night. Peter
