Best days of the week for locales on the Côte d'Azur

Hi,

My wife & I will be vacationing in Nice for an entire week in early April (the week before Easter). In addition to Nice, we plan to visit Cannes, Antibes, Monaco and Menton.

We will have a car and will likely travel inland a little, as well, e.g., to St Paul de Vence, which has been recommended to us.

Given our flexibility re: time, we were wondering if there are particular days that are better to visit each locale, e.g., a market that's only open one day of the week, a town that's more crowded one day vs. another, etc. Or does it not matter...?

These towns are covered in both Rick's France book and his Provence/Riviera book, but the latter includes more nearby options. I don't see a one-page rundown of market days for the region, but they are discussed in each chapter, along with museum hours. In Monaco, for instance, the listed sightseeing is all open daily, except the post office (popular with stamp collectors) is closed Sundays. In Nice, some museums are closed Monday and others closed Tuesday. Check with the tourist office locally for any special holiday issues.
