Best car service in Paris

Looking to splurge a bit on a hired car from CDG to our hotel in Paris, then from our hotel to Paris Gare de Lyon for our train trip to Lyon. Best car service? Thanks!

I looked in Rick's Paris guidebook and sent a message to the webservices one that is listed. They responded and said they are no longer booking so I'm interested too for CDG to hotel then hotel back to CDG. Anyone have recommendations?

I have no recommendations, but it's a great idea, especially if you have plenty of time. A taxi will be a lot faster, but cheaper and less complicated to meet at the airport.

Are you sure you want a hired car? They're not allowed to use the bus/taxi lane, so depending on when your plane arrives you could be spending a lot of time sitting in traffic. The meeting arrangements can be complicated, too. The driver has to meet you in the concourse, then go and collect the car while you stand around. (Unless things have changed recently)

We signed up for the G7 app while we were in Paris recently. They contact an official taxi in your area and setup a time to pick you up. We had excelled service and got to Gare de Lyon in the shortest possible time since official taxis can use the transit lanes.

The taxis are readily available at CDG (just follow the signs) and they have fixed fares of €55 to the right bank and €62 to the left bank. I see no advantage to hiring a private car and perhaps paying more than these fares and the taxis are usually Mercedes, BMW or some other quality car so you'll be getting a ride in a nice vehicle. The choice is yours as to whether or not you want to hire a private driver but at least you can compare its cost to what the standard, fixed taxi fares are from CDG:

I’ve done quite a few transfer options from CDG into Paris.

For this last trip, I went with a pre-booked service instead of heading to the cab line. The cab line is indeed very easy and the price is set but sometimes I just get tired of the cab driver roulette thing - on last year’s arrival to Paris, our cab driver was a terrifying driver and even stopped once in traffic to get into a verbal argument with a driver he felt was in his way.

So last month, I booked with this service: https://www.bt-transfer.com/index.php?lang=en

The driver was waiting at arrivals with our name on a sign. He walked with us out of the airport to a parking area where a nice Mercedes van was waiting for us.

Our price was 90 Euros. We could have paid 80 Euros but I wanted a van - I get carsick in a sedan.

I get to split my travel costs with someone else so this was 45 Euros each for us. No crazy driving and a nice ride to our hotel.
