Been to either of these Paris hotels?

Hello! I am trying to decide between two hotels in Paris for a trip with two friends in September. I was wondering if anyone has stayed at either of them and if so, would you return? The first is Hotel Excelsior Opera (located on rue La Fayette) and the second is Hotel Bresil Opera (located on Rue Bergère), both in the 9th.

There were other hotels that I liked better when it was just two of us going, but now there are three and with needing three beds and trying to stay within a certain budget, these look like the best options.

I cannot comment on the amenities and rooms, but I much prefer the location of Hotel Brésil Opera on rue Bergère. It is in a lively, lived-in area close to plenty of good restaurants while still being on a quiet street, traffic-wise.
The other one is on a very busy throughfare, close to the Galeries Lafayette, lots of people during the day but dies down once the offices and department stores close. Metro is more convenient there, though.

I stayed at the Excelsior Opera probably around 8 or 9 years ago after not being happy with another hotel I had booked. The staff there were great and showed me several rooms to choose from, and I was very happy there. I don't know what it is like now though, but based on my experience would go back there.
The Hotel Bresil Opera is just along the street from where I have stayed 6 or 7 times, the Astotel 34B, and I really like that area. I have never heard any road noise from either hotel.
I think either would be a good choice if they are reasonable

Thank you, jeanetter! Both hotels have fairly similar ratings on booking dot com and on google reviews. I am happy to hear that either of them would probably be a good choice.
